Until last Thursday night, I was unaware Jody recorded her livestream broadcast the time she went to pick up the whistle at the post office.
The segment - "Trading Nothing - I Got My Whistle!" - runs for a whopping 24 minutes!
Not an entirely straight forward visit, then.
Here's a few screen shots...
And here's a summary of how events unfold...
time=0 mins An excited Jody enters the post office.
time=2 mins Jody learns she has received a package by registered mail, and appears to be still relatively calm.
time=4 mins Jody is told she needs to produce an ID. She leaves in a huff to get it from her car, throwing a tantrum on the way - "Don't you know who I am!" - as most authentic rock chicks would do, I guess.
time=6 mins As Jody returns from her car, ID in hand, someone calls her, to talk about some mini crisis or other, so interrupting the proceedings that really matter - how inconsiderate!
time=6 mins Some people, eh!!
time=7 mins Ditto.
time=8 mins Ditto.
time=9 mins Ditto.
time=10 mins Ditto.
time=11 mins Ditto.
time=12 mins Ditto.
time=16 mins Jody finally gets hold of the package!
time=18 mins Jody, wearing a surprise I threw in - only in Britain! - can't wait to get outside to try "the famous whistle that will give me extra special powers"...
time=19 mins Jody wastes no time experimenting with the whistle's potential. "We sooooo have to use it in the train song!"
time=22 mins Now in the car, more experimenting - Pheep-Honk-Pheep-Honk-Pheep-Honk-Pheep-Honk...
So she doesn't actually receive the package until 16 minutes in.
Personally, I think it's definitely worth the wait...
Or suggest as many as you like! I want to link to 5000 sites eventually...
Probably easier for you to swing over to the Suggest A Link page rather than me try to explain here.
That said...
...if you want to put this banner in your blog/website, please feel free to go ahead (also tell me so I can link you a pixel and include you in the Table...)
Too many people have been telling me they are waiting forever for the pages to load, so I had better try to fix that tomorrow... I even have a nerdy plan!
I hope not everyone has that problem, because that would make typing this a complete waste of time, much like this car, some might say...
