T-T-T-Timing

Little over two days have passed, and I am happy to report I have received not one, but more than one offer for the first trade!

Unfortunately and however, I am heading for the sun tomorrow. And, well, there just isn't time to do a trade before I go, which is a real shame. But I'll be back in a week, and it'll keep.

I know I know, I should have stayed put - the heatwave here seems to be lasting forever - and my timing could have been better, starting this thing not long before I go away!

But no matter, I should still be able to regularly access my email at tradingnothing@gmail.com, so I won't really be that far away.

I better finish packing...

Welcome!

...to my new website. I'm Andrew Henderson, and I've set myself a challenge.

Starting with absolutely nothing, my challenge is to trade up that absolutely nothing for something, and then trade that something for something bigger/better, and then trade that bigger/better something for something even bigger/better, and just keep trading up and up...well you get the idea.

No end target or time limit has been set. I will just keep going and see how far I can take it. I figure this thing can only make for an interesting and fun trip, and if it helps pay a few bills, well that would be a bonus...

I will be logging my experiences along the way in this, the blog section. Hopefully I will have more than absolutely nothing to talk about.

If you want to start me on my way, I'd be delighted! I'm offering absolutely nothing from me in return for something bigger and/or better from you - ie. something!

And as with any trade, I will present the successful first trader with a special trading nothing certificate! Well, it's an appropriate way to mark the making of a little bit of internet history, isn't it? ;o)

I live in Preston, Lancashire (in the north west of England), and I can be reached at tradingnothing@gmail.com (or mobile 0774 339 7776, UK code is +44)

And I am prepared to travel to anywhere on the planet to make a trade, if I think it makes sense.

Please feel free to take a look around. There isn't much here yet, so it won't take long.

Q: What do you call a barterer who barters a barterer for a barterer?
A: A bartererer

Or is it a barterererer?

I better stop there - sorry, couldn't resist. The challenge starts now.
